The Foundry in LIC is a true industrial wedding venue
The Foundry is a 19th-century industrial wedding venue in Long Island City, New York that dates back to the 1800s.
This industrial space was recreated with open brick walls, sky roof lighting, and indoor balconies on both sides. It’s an adaptable area when it comes to the design, and may easily accommodate a couple’s unique ideas.
The Foundry wedding couples and their guests may enjoy the iconic Manhattan skyline from the rooftop garden while taking in the stunning views outside. For over 15 years, this venue has been providing events with original designs, attentive service, and one-of-a-kind furnishings.
Rich in History
The Foundry is a historical wedding venue that has been restored to offer couples a one-of-a-kind location to exchange their vows. The Foundry was established in the 19th century and operated until 1906, serving as a hub for riverfront needs. In 1980, the Du Val family meticulously restored the building’s interior to commemorate its vanished era. They carefully restored the area to preserve its original feel while also adding a touch of elegance and beauty.
The Foundry Wedding Venue’s Versatile Space for Any Event
The Foundry includes several indoor and outdoor gathering places with the capacity to accommodate an exciting party. The interior provides 3,000 square feet of versatile space designed for any event. It also features an outside courtyard, a rooftop, an indoor greenhouse, and a fully equipped industrial kitchen.
With exposed brick on the ground level and a mezzanine, the primary space has an industrial contemporary wedding feel. For a lush backdrop during your ceremony, place your ceremony altar in front of the magnificent window. The courtyard is so beautiful and covered with ivy during the Spring and Summer months. This lovely venue can accommodate up to 180 people and provides spectacular views of the Queensboro Bridge from up top. For smaller gatherings, the Greenhouse has aged brick walls, a skylight ceiling, and year-round foliage. The Albra Room or the open-air Terrace may be rented for cocktail hours or small ceremonies.
The Foundry Terrace and the Du Val Terrace may also be rented for photography. Getting-ready rooms are available to use as well as relaxation areas and preparation spaces.
