Having had the honor of photographing so many beautiful weddings here over the years, I can honestly say that driving up to this estate never loses its magic. It offers the kind of serene, wooded natural beauty that you simply can’t find inside the city.

Stepping onto the property feels like stepping back into the roaring ’20s, back when dignitaries escaped to Long Island for extravagant, Gatsby-level parties. But what I love most about Oheka is that, despite its massive French Chateau grandeur, the estate still feels incredibly warm and inviting for you and your guests.

Because I know this venue inside and out, I can tell you exactly where the light hits perfectly. The incredibly manicured grounds are segmented to give you plenty of quiet, intimate spaces. Whether we’re wandering through the verdant courtyards, capturing reflections by the peaceful pools and fountains, or sneaking off to the forest’s edge for a private first look and golden hour sunset portraits, the backdrop is always flawless. After we capture that perfect evening light, you get to head inside to join your loved ones for an unforgettable night of chef-inspired cuisine and dancing.

Susan Shek and her entire team for photos and video were amazing! Derek and I got married at Oheka Castle on September 21st, 2019. We had a 300-person wedding, a very large party in one room.
