Starting the day before Pier 60 Wedding

I loved this stylish wedding! Andi and Daniel’s wedding very elegant with a playful twist!  Above all, the fun-loving couple’s personality and modern flair were incorporated into every detail of their wedding.  They started their day getting ready separately.  Daniel was with his groomsmen at the Eventi Hotel in NYC and Andi was getting ready with her girls at home.  This wedding party really knew how to have a good time. 

Andi immediately fell in love with her J. Mendel Dress from Mark Ingram Atelier.  The dress was one of the most unique styles I’ve ever seen! Very modern cut that fits Andi’s personality. Meanwhile, Daniel wore a custom navy colored suit.  The navy and white theme was present throughout the entire day.  The wedding party also sported navy wedding attire.  This was just one detail in the visual storyline that the bride and groom created for their wedding day.

The moments of the first look.

Andi and Dan’s first look was a moment to remember. They were so emotional when they saw each other, that they shed some tears. So naturally, the photos really captured their excitement!

The ceremony at the church of St. Francis Xavier

The couple had a Catholic wedding mass and ceremony at New York City’s St. Francis Xavier Church. This church was always the one Andi and Dan loved the most. It held a lot of significance to them and their families. You could feel the energy in the church when they stood at the altar.

One of the best things about being a New York City wedding photographer is that I get to experience the different venues and the way they design them. After we arrived at Pier 60, their crew wanted to jump on the carousel outside to have some fun before entering the reception.

The reception and the party

The elements incorporated by the couple, such as personalized sunglasses and matchbooks which were spread throughout the venue.  Along with those elements, the beauty surrounding the Pier 60 Wedding added to the luxurious aesthetic.  Most of all, guests enjoyed views of the Hudson River as well as the NYC skyline.  As dinner was served, guests were offered a beautiful meal prepared and catered by Abigail Kirsch Catering before the party.  Once the party began, guests danced the night away to songs by Hank Lane’s Luxe band.  The entire room packed the dance floor.  Guests of all ages were enjoying the music, but most importantly, Andi and Dan didn’t stop dancing.  They put together a beautiful wedding and reception that really reflected their personality as a couple.
