The Burden Kahn Mansion was actually a private home designed by architect C.P.H Gilbert and J. Armstrong Stenhouse. The architects were asked no expense to be spared. I mean, literally no expense to be spared!
The Mansion’s exterior is made of French limestone imported from St. Quentin. And, interiors of the Mansion are made of Caen stone. Overall, the Mansion has a beauty of Italian structure during sixteenth-century architecture.
Due to the elegant structure and its design, a New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission appraised the Mansion with the following quote (source: Burden Kahn Mansion’s website)
“In its grand scale, distinguished design and superb construction, the Burden Kahn Mansion is the finest Italian Renaissance-style mansion in New York.”
Burden Kahn Mansions has a royal wedding look in both the interior and exterior of the Mansion. If anyone would like to get more information about the reception service specifically for wedding, you follow this link to get more information.
