Backyard Jewish Wedding at a Private Estate in CT

Traditions serve many purposes, but I believe the biggest reason we cherish traditions is that they foster sweet memories. For instance, yearly family reunions set the scene for stories to unfold. Schools hold tight to traditions because they unify the alma mater. Friends create traditions together because they strengthen unshakable bonds. Put simply, traditions help us remember the good times. One of the best parts of Jewish culture is experiencing close-knit togetherness created through time-honored traditions. One of those traditions is epic celebrations like this backyard Jewish wedding. Even if you aren’t religious, nothing compares to the excitement and warmth of a Jewish wedding.

Family Estate Weddings

Thankfully, not even a global pandemic can hold back love! My heart did cartwheels when this lovely couple decided to move the wedding celebration to the family estate. This backyard Jewish wedding is nothing short of magical! It didn’t matter that they didn’t have a city venue. Their gorgeous family estate worked just as well – if not better! Needless to say, many happy memories were made.

First, the wedding party and their families got ready for the day in the comfort of their home. Laughter echoed through the halls, and I knew it was going to be a good day. The weather could not have been more perfect for an outdoor ceremony! The Tisch gathered around the table together for the signing of the ketubah before heading out to find their seats in front of the rose-covered Chuppah.

Under the Chuppah

Before exchanging vows, family members cried happy tears and prayed over the couple beneath the large shaded trees. Everything about this wedding felt warm and inviting. Loved ones completely surrounded the couple with love and support – the perfect way to begin a marriage. After smashing the glass, we took a few more family pictures, gave a few more hugs, then it was time to dance the Hora! The rest of the evening was filled with happy conversations and intimate moments between the happy couple.

This unforgettable backyard Jewish wedding featured all smiles until the very end. Mazel Tov to the newlyweds!
