Housing Works’ Bride on a Buck Shopping Event

As an NYC Wedding Photographer, I do my best to give back as much as I can. Even with a busy schedule, giving back as a humanitarian is vitally important to me. I’m excited and proud to be connected to this wonderful cause. If you head on over to their website, you’ll see photographs that I shot for the Housing Works foundation.
On May 5th, 2018, Housing Works will be hosting their annual “Bride on a Buck” Shopping Event in NYC. This event opens their doors to brides who are in the market for bridal gowns, shoes, and accessories. Here’s the best part of the event…every item will be heavily discounted by up to 85%. The products being sold are new and gently used by designers such as Austin Scarlett, Marchesa, Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Kleinfeld, Gabriella Bridal and Jenny Yoo. Trust me, this is the event at which you should be if you’re a soon to be NYC bride.
Okay, but let’s talk a little more about Housing Works and how amazing they are as a non-profit organization. Their advocacy statement is below:
Since 1990, Housing Works has provided intensive services to over thirty-thousand homeless and low-income citizens of New York living with HIV/AIDS or at-risk of infection. These services have included housing, job training, legal help, and hands-on healthcare.
Keep in mind one thing if you decide to attend this Housing Works event. Not only will you be getting designer bridal apparel at an unheard of low cost, you’ll be donating to the Housing Works cause. Every dollar made at this Shopping Event will go back to Housing Works. This will allow them to continue helping those in need.
Besides this wonderful event happening on May 5th, Housing Works runs a thrift shop, online store, and bookstore café. These small businesses work towards the goal of raising money for their overall cause. If you can’t make it to this bridal discount paradise of a shopping event, make sure to stop by one of their many stores in NYC. You can check out their site for more information by clicking here.
