The Central Park Boathouse aka The Loeb Boathouse aka Boathouse Central Park aka The Boathouse NYC (yup it has many names)….is the perfect place to have your wedding. The endless backdrops help bring an extra sense of beauty to your NYC wedding photography.
This elegant featured wedding took place last year, in the beginning of Fall. The weather was perfect! Our featured couple wanted to celebrate with all their family and friends at the Central Park Boathouse. It was such a fun party filled with laughter, dancing, and little reminders of their Instagram Famous French Bulldog, Henry. Unfortunately, Henry couldn’t attend, but he was with this couple in spirit.
They wanted an NYC Wedding Photographer like myself, who could capture their story in a way that was creative and hip. The couple emphasized the importance of including a touch of classic elements. Since I’m a dog lover, they felt even more connected to me.
We clicked immediately when we met. The bride and her husband adore their little Henry beyond words. I am all about photographing couples with their dogs, so we had a chance to do that when they had their NYC Engagement Session with me!
The couple got ready at the Warwick Hotel, on different floors. My partner and I photographed each part of the preparation process, as the bride got ready. A professional make up and hair team named Beautini came to the bride’s room and beautified all the ladies, while the guys hung out and watched football until it was time to get ready. After getting ready, I took the bride and the bridesmaids outside to do some NYC street shots. We even photobombed a couple people at the famous NYC Love Sign.
The couple wanted to do a “First Look” which I absolutely love and highly recommend. It helps the couple relax and become comfortable, especially before seeing each other for the first time walking down the aisle in front of a large audience. After the First Look, we headed in the direction of the Central Park Boathouse.
Once we got to the Loeb Boathouse, we started taking pictures of the bridal party. Some friend and family joined in, before the ceremony.
After capturing the beautiful essence of this gorgeous couple, we finally left the Loeb Boathouse and headed for the ceremony. The ceremony was absolutely breathtaking with the perfect set happening in the background. A short intimate reading by a few loved ones, then a lighting candle ritual, and followed by a kiss.
At the cocktail hour, we went out to the pond to capture the beautiful pastel sunset. Then, the party started with a live eight-piece band. The groom even got up to sing a few songs on stage and everyone cheered on.
